'YES' - LIL WAYNE FEAT. PHARRELL

Only an additional verse from Kanye West could confirm my suspicions that this track was tailor-made for The Fader blog. Regardless, it sees Lil Wayne back in furious form after the half-hearted, auto-tuned mess that was 'Dedication 3'. Also, Pharrell seems to have been bothered to actually be good for pretty much the first time since that Clipse album a couple of years back. If he makes another jam as good as this, I'll consider forgetting how bad all the tracks he produced for the Common album were.

A MILLI (NE YO FREESTYLE)

Despite having a little bit of a smarmy face, I love the shit out of Ne-Yo for the following reasons:

1) 'Closer' is my favourite jam of the year.

2) Now that Usher is fully shit, he's taken the opportunity to fill the void and be the not-shit Usher.

3) He looks a little bit like D'angelo from The Wire.

4)

Mad love to Aslan for the tip-off.

THA CARTER III

YES! Look what just landed in my hands.

Thanks to Lil Wayne for sending me a copy in recognition of the fact that I liked him before any other white person in the UK .

P.S. I've only listened to it once, but it's not as good as 'Tha Carter' or 'Tha Carter II'.
