This isn't a post about some obscure Italo Disco producer, it's just a picture of my friend Giancarlo that I like.

VIDEO: 'VELVET' - THE BIG PINK

This isn't an exclusive, or anything, in fact we jacked it directly from Pitchfork, but hell, what has the world come to if you can't support your friends' music video that visually shows (in black & white of course) what it's like coming-down in Hackney after partying it out really hard with models?

'SHADE' - LILLICA LIBERTINE

I love experimental music and everything, but sometimes you know, it just doesn’t make you feel like you’re rushing on four tonnes of ecstasy. Therefore it’s great to have Lillica Libertine back to serve us up a Throbbing Gristle meets Modeselektor sandwich, with its disco industrial clatter finely tuned into a straight up commandment to lose your shit seriously, seriously hard.

'FROM STARLIGHT TO SENTIENCE' - BANJO OR FREAKOUT (HIGH PLACES COVER)

Things have really been haeting up for out good friend Banjo or Freakout recently, and last I heard he was locked away in the studio putting the finishing touches to his debut album. This cover of High Places' amazing 'From Starlight to Sentience' which appeared on his blog brushes the original with understated grace, a little bit of feedback and totally and utterly rules.

'ZACHARY' - A GRAVE WITH NO NAME

This was recorded in Anupa's flat above the Marathon Bar in Camden, London. We layed down our parts in one take, and then drank wine whilst listening to 'Nebraska' by Bruce Springsteen until the early hours.

Alexander Shields: acoustic guitars, electric guitars, percussion, vocals
Anupa Madawela: drums
Tom King: bass
